Coos County Man Arrested for Trespassing at North Bend Motel on New Year’s Morning

Bend, OR– A 40-year-old man was arrested early on New Year’s morning after authorities discovered him and two others trespassing at the Bay Bridge Motel in North Bend, according to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Around 2:13 a.m. on January 1, CCSO deputies responded to a call reporting a possible disturbance at the motel. The call indicated that multiple individuals, who had already been contacted by law enforcement earlier in the evening, were still on the premises.

Upon arriving at the motel, deputies made contact with three individuals, including 40-year-old Jeffrey Hill. The sheriff’s office confirmed that all three were found to be trespassing. After being informed of their violation, the trespassers were instructed to leave the property.

Hill, however, was taken into custody by law enforcement in connection with the incident. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading to the disturbance. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
