Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Vehicle Collision in Eugene

Eugene, OR — A pedestrian was seriously injured in a crash involving a vehicle on Thursday evening, January 2, near the intersection of W. 11th Avenue and Commerce Street.

Around 8 p.m., an officer with the Eugene Police Department arrived at the scene of the incident, which occurred in the eastbound lane of W. 11th Avenue. The crash took place near the crosswalk by Target. Upon discovering the severity of the situation, the officer immediately requested emergency medical assistance from Eugene Springfield Fire Department personnel.

The male pedestrian, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. His current condition remains unknown.
