City of Bend announces road closure for Butler Market and Wells Acres roundabout project

Bend, OR – The City of Bend, Oregon, says construction is moving forward on the Butler Market and Wells Acres roundabout project, with a major road closure set to begin in mid-May.

According to city officials, Wells Acres Road will close at Butler Market beginning May 11 and remain closed until mid-August. During the closure, Purcell Boulevard will serve as the designated detour route, while Butler Market Road will remain open eastbound only.

City leaders said the project is intended to improve traffic flow, roadway safety, and access for pedestrians and cyclists in the area.

Officials thanked residents for their patience during construction and encouraged drivers to follow posted detours while work is underway.

The city also directed the public to its website for ongoing updates and detour information related to the project.
