The City of Bend is encouraging residents to participate in a survey to provide feedback on updating its Community Climate Action Plan

Bend, OR – According to the city officials, originally adopted in 2019, the CCAP sets ambitious goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030 and 70% by 2050.

The update aims to incorporate new strategies that reflect current best practices.

Community involvement is key to identifying priorities and addressing challenges to emissions reduction efforts in Bend.

The survey, which takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, is open until Sunday, Dec. 1, and responses are anonymous.

The updated plan will be presented to the Bend City Council for consideration in early 2025.

Residents are encouraged to share their input and shape the future of Bend’s climate actions.
