Woman Arrested After Accidentally Shooting Boyfriend in Foot in North Bend

NORTH BEND, Ore. – A North Bend woman is facing assault charges after accidentally shooting her boyfriend in the foot during an argument on the evening of February 22.

The Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at approximately 8:22 p.m. from a woman who reported that she had unintentionally shot her boyfriend while they were arguing. Upon arrival at the residence on North Way Lane, deputies found 20-year-old Kendell R. Senn, who appeared intoxicated. She confirmed that she had made the 911 call and admitted to accidentally discharging a firearm, resulting in her boyfriend’s injury.

Deputies immediately provided first aid to the victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his foot, while emergency medical personnel arrived shortly thereafter to assist. The boyfriend was subsequently transported to Bay Area Hospital for further treatment.

Senn was arrested on charges of third-degree assault and taken to the Coos County Jail. Authorities did not release the victim’s name, but confirmed he was receiving medical care for his injuries.

The incident highlights the potential dangers of heated arguments combined with intoxication and firearms. Investigations are ongoing as the case moves forward.
