Wilsonville, OR – Wilsonville police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night near an apartment complex on Southwest Canyon Creek Road. The incident unfolded shortly after 8 p.m., when several residents in the area called 911 reporting an argument followed by the sound of gunshots.

Upon arrival, officers found a woman who had sustained gunshot wounds. Firefighters assisted at the scene, and the victim was quickly transported to a hospital in Portland for treatment. Authorities have not released her name or condition at this time.

Following the shooting, investigators arrested 31-year-old Brandon Arroyo. Arroyo has been charged with attempted murder, assault, and other related offenses. Police have yet to disclose the nature of his relationship to the victim or any potential motives behind the attack.

In a separate and unusual incident, a Wilsonville police officer discovered a deceased body in his patrol car at the beginning of his shift. Authorities have not provided further details regarding the circumstances of the death or the identity of the individual involved. The discovery has prompted an internal investigation as well as coordination with homicide detectives to determine the cause of death.

Both cases remain under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information related to either incident to come forward.

While the shooting remains the primary focus of local law enforcement, the death found in the patrol car has added a layer of complexity to the investigations. The police department has yet to comment on whether the two events are connected.
