Two Seriously Injured in Redmond Incident, Investigation Underway

REDMOND, Ore. — Two people were seriously injured late Thursday night at a home in northwest Redmond, leading to the activation of the Central Oregon Major Incident Team (COMIT) for further investigation.

At approximately 10:34 p.m., police responded to a 911 call from a residence in the 1000 block of Northwest Elm Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals suffering from significant injuries. Both victims were transported by ambulance to St. Charles Redmond for medical treatment.

Lieutenant April Huey of the Redmond Police Department confirmed that the injuries were serious, but did not provide further details on the nature of the incident. The situation is being investigated as an “isolated incident,” according to Huey, who reassured the public that there is no known ongoing threat to the community.

The Central Oregon Major Incident Team, which handles complex investigations in the region, has taken over the case, and a significant police presence remains in the area as they continue their work. Authorities are expected to release more information as the investigation progresses.

At this time, no further details have been provided about the identities of those involved or the cause of the incident. Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
