Oregon Ducks football pledges announce they are ready to sign

Rare is the college football Signing Day in which fans are not hoping for fireworks.

But that’s exactly what Oregon Ducks fans should be rooting for Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period – a quiet, uneventful day of recruits sending in signed paperwork.

Oregon’s 2021 recruiting class is the highest-rated collection of talent in program history – No. 6 on 247Sports and No. 3 on Rivals – and the Ducks are unlikely to be a factor in any major new college commitments Wednesday.

So for Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff, the goal will be to sign as many of their 21 verbal commitments as possible to binding National Letters of Intent.

Outside of 247Sports composite four-star linebacker Jonathan Flowe, who committed Tuesday and is unlikely to sign this week, it sounds as though all of Oregon’s pledges anticipate making things official in the next 24 hours.

Many have turned to social media to announce they are ready to officially become Oregon Ducks*.

(*All-American Bowl wide receiver Troy Franklin has tweeted out an article indicating he is ready to sign with Oregon and enroll early, but hasn’t directly tweeted any official plans. All-American Bowl tight end Moliki Matavao confirmed this week that he is solid to Oregon and also intends to sign Wednesday and enroll in January, but hasn’t directly tweeted out his plans)
