BEND, Ore. — Four people were arrested Wednesday in connection with multiple assault, sexual assault and robbery investigations, according to information released by Bend Police.
Bend Police and the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team made the arrests on Sept. 16 while serving a search warrant at an apartment in the 1900 block of NW Monterey Pines Drive.
Jonah Dawit Crooks, 19, Jarixtsa Iriani Johnson, 18, both Bend residents, and a 17-year-old Redmond resident were arrested on suspicion of assault related to a physical altercation at a house party in the 1600 block of NE Watson Drive in late July.
Police said an 18-year-old woman was assaulted during the incident and suffered a broken jaw.
Crooks was also arrested in connection with a reported sexual assault at Cassity’s Bar on SW Century Drive on Aug. 23. According to police, a 21-year-old Bend woman reported that she and Crooks were allowed back inside the bar after closing to use the restroom. She told police Crooks sexually assaulted her after she entered the restroom. The woman reported the incident to Bend Police the following day.
Crooks and 20-year-old Bend resident Eldon Wilson Miller were also arrested on suspicion of committing a robbery in Sunriver.
During the execution of the search warrant at the Monterey Pines Drive apartment, officers reported finding what police described as a commercial quantity of cocaine, along with a scale and packaging materials consistent with drug sales. Officers also recovered a 9mm handgun.
Crooks was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault, two counts of third-degree assault, first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree theft, third-degree robbery and second-degree criminal conspiracy.
Johnson was arrested on suspicion of second-degree and third-degree assault. Miller was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, first-degree theft, third-degree robbery and second-degree criminal conspiracy. The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of second-degree and third-degree assault.
The cases are identified as 2026-00047023 and 2026-00043484.
The charges described are allegations. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
