Bend, OR – A woman who was critically injured in a shooting outside a Gresham apartment complex last week has died from her injuries, according to local police.
The incident occurred on the morning of December 10, just after 3 a.m., at an apartment complex located in the 1300 block of Southwest Pleasant View Drive. Authorities say the shooting stemmed from an argument between two individuals over loud music. The dispute escalated quickly, resulting in the victim, identified as 49-year-old Susan Henson, being shot in the parking lot.
Paramedics rushed Henson to Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Hospital, where she received emergency treatment for her critical injuries. However, on Monday, Gresham Police confirmed that Henson had succumbed to her wounds.
Police have not yet identified a suspect in the shooting, but the investigation is ongoing. Officers are working to piece together the events leading up to the argument and shooting, and they are asking anyone with information to come forward.
