Sisters Man Arrested After Multiple Business Break-ins and Vandalism

SISTERS, OR — A Sisters man was arrested early Saturday morning after multiple businesses in the area were broken into and vandalized, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched around 2:50 a.m. to respond to an alarm at Mainline Station, located on the west end of Sisters. Mainline Station includes a Chevron gas station, convenience store, and a McDonald’s restaurant. Authorities say a witness had reported seeing a man in dark clothing leaving the scene and heading toward Ray’s Food Place.

Upon arrival, deputies conducted a search of the area, eventually locating the suspect. The man, whose identity has not been publicly released, was taken into custody without further incident. Investigators believe the individual is responsible for several break-ins and acts of vandalism at the businesses in question.

Sheriff’s officials are continuing to investigate the incident. The arrested man is facing charges related to burglary, vandalism, and other related offenses. The damages to the affected businesses are still being assessed.
