Intersection at Deschutes Market Road and Yoeman Road Closed for Roundabout Construction

Bend, OR – The intersection of Deschutes Market Road and Yoeman Road has officially closed for the construction of a new roundabout, a project spearheaded by the developers of Petrosa. The City of Bend has confirmed that the closure will last for a minimum of four months as crews work to build the four-way roundabout, which will also include an extension of Yoeman Road to the east.

The construction project is part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and safety in the area, which has seen increasing congestion in recent years. With the intersection now closed, drivers are being advised to follow a detour route that will guide them through Butler Market Road and Hamehook Road, avoiding the construction zone entirely.

Local authorities have urged drivers to plan for potential delays and consider alternative routes to reach their destinations. The City of Bend has emphasized that while the detour may add extra travel time, it is necessary to ensure the safety of both drivers and construction workers.

As the construction progresses, updates on the project’s timeline and any further closures will be provided to the public. Residents and commuters are encouraged to stay informed and adjust their travel plans accordingly.
