Bend-La Pine School District Delays and Closures Due to Snowfall

BEND, Ore. — The Bend-La Pine School District has announced a two-hour delay for all schools on Monday, March 17, due to significant snowfall that impacted the area on Sunday evening. In addition to the delay, several schools in the district will remain closed, while others are experiencing schedule changes.

Schools closed on Monday include:

  • Three Rivers School
  • Rosland Elementary School
  • La Pine Elementary School
  • La Pine Middle School
  • La Pine High School

All after-school activities at La Pine and Sunriver schools have been canceled, and school buses will not be operating in the Sunriver and La Pine areas. This includes routes traveling from the south county regions to Bend.

At this time, no other school districts in the region have reported closures, according to the latest updates provided by 7:45 p.m. on Sunday evening. As conditions may evolve, district officials advise parents, students, and staff to stay informed about any further changes to the schedule.

The school district is urging everyone to remain cautious while traveling, especially in areas where road conditions may still be hazardous following the snowfall.
