Bend, OR – The City of Bend Police Department announced the retirement of longtime officer Chris Stoaks, marking the end of more than 18 years of service with the department.

Officials said Stoaks served in a variety of roles during his career and was also a member of the Central Oregon Emergency Response Team, where he worked as part of the negotiators unit.

Department leaders noted his contributions across multiple specialized assignments and his involvement in high-level response operations.

The department expressed appreciation for his years of service and dedication, thanking him for his commitment to public safety throughout his tenure.
