Bend Celebrates Earth Day with Annual Fair and Celebration

BEND, Ore. – The Environmental Center hosted its annual Earth Day Fair and Celebration on Saturday afternoon, bringing the Bend community together to celebrate the planet. Held along Kansas Avenue, the festival offered a variety of activities and events designed to promote creativity, environmental awareness, and family-friendly fun.

The event featured live performances from local artists, a nature-themed costume runway, and booths offering practical tips on how to protect the environment. Attendees were also treated to interactive activities that encouraged sustainable living and environmental education.

Rick Martinson, founder of the High Desert Horticultural Center, expressed his appreciation for the community spirit on display. “It’s incredible to see the entire community of Bend come together to support everyone’s missions,” he said. The sense of unity was palpable as locals, young and old, participated in the celebration of Earth Day.

Although the traditional Earth Day parade was canceled this year, the fair still managed to provide a meaningful and engaging experience for all. With its focus on environmental education and community involvement, the Earth Day Fair served as a reminder of the importance of protecting the planet for future generations.

The event was well-received, leaving attendees with new knowledge and ideas for how they can make a positive impact on the environment. As always, the Earth Day Fair in Bend proved to be an enjoyable and inspiring occasion for both residents and visitors alike.
