Camp Fire Central Oregon Celebrates Absolutely Incredible Kid Day with Fun-filled Community Event

Bend, OR – Camp Fire Central Oregon hosted its annual Absolutely Incredible Kid (AIK) Day celebration at The Pavilion on Sunday, bringing together local families for a day of fun, laughter, and community spirit. The event, which kicked off at noon, was designed to honor youth and celebrate the important role kids play in the community.

The celebration was filled with activities aimed at delighting children and engaging families. The first 200 kids in attendance enjoyed free ice skating, while others participated in a variety of activities, including crafts, robotics, and new games that are part of Camp Fire’s unique programs. Birthday cake was served to all, adding a festive touch to the day. The event also featured a swag raffle, where attendees had the chance to win various prizes.

Camp Fire Central Oregon’s AIK Day celebration held special significance this year, as it marked the organization’s 115th anniversary nationwide. While the national AIK Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of March, Camp Fire Central Oregon moved their celebration to the Sunday before to make the event more accessible to the community.

In addition to the activities, staff members were on hand to connect with families, offering information about upcoming camps and programs. Camp Fire’s mission to empower youth through various programs was evident in the day’s events, as children were encouraged to explore their creativity, curiosity, and teamwork skills.

With its fun atmosphere and community-driven focus, the AIK Day celebration provided a memorable experience for everyone involved, reinforcing the importance of supporting and uplifting young people in the area.
