Third Suspect Arrested in Portland Burglary Ring Targeting Local Businesses

Portland, Ore. — A third suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a sprawling burglary ring accused of targeting over 100 businesses across the Portland metropolitan area. Daniel Blew, 34, was arraigned last Friday on charges related to burglary and theft following a secret indictment. He is said to have been involved in at least three of the burglaries alongside previously arrested suspects, Courtney Carlile, 28, and Joshua Lucero, 30.

Authorities say the trio operated as part of a larger criminal network that began its string of break-ins last July. The burglaries primarily targeted small businesses, with the thieves allegedly stealing cash, electronics, and valuable merchandise.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Blew’s arrest marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation. While Blew is facing multiple charges, the investigation remains active, with law enforcement suggesting that as many as 10 individuals could be involved in the organized crime ring.

Carlile and Lucero were arrested late last month, and investigators say that all three suspects worked together on several occasions to break into local businesses. Authorities have been gathering evidence and tracking leads in an effort to uncover the full scope of the operation.

“We believe this group has been responsible for a significant number of burglaries in our community, and we are committed to holding those involved accountable,” said a spokesperson for the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information related to the burglaries to come forward. They believe there may be additional individuals yet to be identified and arrested.

With Blew now behind bars, authorities are working diligently to dismantle the criminal network and prevent further crimes in the region. The arrests serve as a reminder of the continued efforts by local law enforcement to combat property crimes and protect Portland’s business community.
