Bend, OR – A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two violent attacks on employees at local health spas in Gresham, Oregon. The suspect, identified as Habib Habibi, was taken into custody on December 3, following an investigation led by the Gresham Police Department.

The first assault occurred on November 13 at a spa located in the 300 block of SE 181st Ave. According to authorities, Habibi allegedly attacked a lone worker at the facility. Detectives immediately began reviewing surveillance footage from the spa, hoping to identify the suspect.

A second attack took place on November 28 at a different spa located in the 19200 block of SE Stark St. This time, the employee was able to fight back against the assailant, and the ensuing commotion drew attention from other workers and patrons. Surveillance video from the scene confirmed that the same individual was involved in both assaults.

Using the gathered evidence, investigators were able to identify Habibi as the suspect. He was arrested later that day, around 5 p.m., in the 700 block of SE 185th Ave.

The Gresham Police Department has not released further details on the charges facing Habibi. However, they emphasized the importance of the community’s role in helping identify the suspect, as the surveillance footage and quick responses from employees and patrons were crucial in solving the case.

Habibi is currently in custody as the investigation continues.
