COVID-19 CLAIMS 16 MORE LIVES, STATE DEATH TOLL AT 1,138 AS OF FRIDAY

COVID-19 has claimed 16 more lives, raising the state death toll to 1,138 as of Friday.

An update from the Oregon Health Authority reported 1,610 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state case total to 91,421. The new cases include:

*289 in Multnomah County

*198 in Washington County

*185 in Clackamas County

*175 in Marion County

*108 in Deschutes County

*85 in Lane County

*82 in Jackson County

*63 in Linn County

*52 in Yamhill County

*40 in Klamath County

*38 in Umatilla County

*36 in Josephine County

*34 in Benton County

*25 in Polk County

*23 in Malheur County

*21 each in Hood River and Jefferson counties

*19 in Crook County

*18 in Douglas County

*17 in Wasco County

*14 in Morrow County

*11 in Lincoln County

*10 in Union County

*8 in Columbia County

*7 each in Curry, and Lake counties

*6 each Baker and Coos counties

*5 in Tillamook County

*4 in Grant County

*1 in Sherman County

The new deaths ranged in age from 53 to 87. 5 lived in Multnomah County. 3 lived in Jackson County. 2 lived in Marion counties. 1 each lived in Douglas, Deschutes, Jefferson, Josephine, Hood River and Lane counties.

OHA said the number of hospitalized COVID-19 patients across Oregon is 576, which remains unchanged from Thursday. There are 128 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit beds, 1 more than yesterday.
