Oregon Attorney General to Host Town Hall in Bend on Impact of Federal Budget Cuts

BEND, Ore. — Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield is set to host a town hall next month in Bend to address the impact of federal budget cuts on local organizations and workers. The event, scheduled for Saturday, May 3, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., will be held at OSU-Cascades.

Rayfield will be joined by Bend-area lawmakers, including State Senator Anthony Broadman and State Representatives Jason Kropf and Emerson Levy, to discuss the ways in which recent federal funding changes are affecting communities across the state. This town hall is part of a statewide series aimed at providing a platform for Oregonians to engage with their elected officials and voice concerns about the impact of reduced federal support.

The discussion will focus on how these budget cuts are influencing local services, jobs, and resources, with particular attention to organizations that rely on federal funding. It is the third in a series of town halls across Oregon, which aim to highlight the effects of federal fiscal changes on a wide range of local sectors.

Residents of Bend and the surrounding areas are encouraged to attend and participate in the conversation, sharing their perspectives and questions with the Attorney General and local legislators.

This event offers a critical opportunity for constituents to better understand the financial challenges facing their communities and explore potential solutions alongside state leaders.
