Sisters Man Arrested After Multiple Break-Ins and Vandalism in Local Businesses

Bend, OR – A Sisters man was arrested early Saturday morning following a series of break-ins and acts of vandalism at multiple businesses in the area, according to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to an alarm at the Mainline Station, a complex that houses a Chevron gas station, a convenience store, and a McDonald’s restaurant, located on the west end of Sisters, around 2:50 a.m. A witness called 911 to report seeing a man in dark clothing fleeing the scene toward Ray’s Food Place.

When deputies arrived at the Mainline Station, they found evidence of a break-in and extensive vandalism. The suspect, later identified as a local resident, had already left the area, but deputies were able to quickly track his movements based on the witness’s description.

Authorities later located and arrested the suspect, who now faces charges related to burglary, vandalism, and theft. The Sheriff’s Office has not yet released the individual’s name, pending further investigation.

The quick response from law enforcement, along with the timely report from the witness, was instrumental in preventing further damage or theft from local businesses. The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incidents and encourages anyone with additional information to come forward.

No injuries were reported during the break-ins, but the vandalism caused significant damage to the affected businesses. The Sheriff’s Office is working with the business owners to assess the full extent of the damage and determine next steps.

This arrest highlights the importance of community vigilance and the role of residents in helping law enforcement prevent and respond to crime in the area.
