
NORTH BEND, Ore. — A North Bend man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly threatening his neighbors and family members, firing a gunshot into a nearby home, and unlawfully entering the residence, according to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a report of threats on Saturday morning, April 19, at approximately 8:20 a.m. at a property on Willow Lane in North Bend. Upon arrival, deputies said they found evidence that 42-year-old Paul McKiddy had made threats toward individuals residing on his property, including a neighbor and members of his own family.
The investigation revealed that McKiddy allegedly discharged a firearm, with the bullet reportedly passing through a neighbor’s window. Deputies also reported that McKiddy entered the neighbor’s home while it was unoccupied.
McKiddy was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Coos County Jail. He is facing several charges, including first-degree attempted assault, first-degree burglary, three counts of menacing, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, and three counts of unlawful use of a weapon.
As of Monday, April 21, McKiddy remains in custody at the Coos County Jail while the case moves forward through the court system.
The investigation is ongoing, and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
