Bend, OR – Construction on the Franklin Avenue Corridor Project in Bend began on Sept. 2, aiming to calm traffic and improve safety for all users along Franklin Avenue from Harriman Street to Fifth Street.

To reduce traffic impacts, one direction of travel will remain open during the construction period.

Eastbound traffic will be closed while westbound lanes remain open from September through October.

From November through December, westbound traffic will be closed while eastbound lanes remain open.

Drivers are advised to use detours via Greenwood Avenue and plan for additional travel time.

Access to businesses along Franklin Avenue will be maintained throughout the project.
