Bend, OR – The City of Bend announced the arrival of a new cohort of interns this summer as part of its partnership with the Youth Career Connect program.

This initiative brings together Central Oregon high schools, local businesses, and regional organizations to provide young people aged 15 to 21 with valuable internship opportunities.

Interns will gain hands-on experience exploring the City’s water infrastructure, building safety and code compliance, street maintenance, and community communications.

The program aims to prepare the next generation of workers while offering local employers a chance to develop future talent.

City officials expressed enthusiasm for the mutual learning opportunity this partnership provides.
