Centennial Spray Park in Redmond Opens for Summer Season Just in Time for Memorial Day

REDMOND, Ore. — The Centennial Spray Park, located in Downtown Redmond’s Centennial Park, officially opened for the summer season on Memorial Day, offering families and visitors a refreshing outdoor activity as temperatures rise.

The splash pad will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the summer months. Visitors can enjoy ice cream, hot dogs, water, and sunscreen available for purchase at an on-site kiosk. Additionally, residents have the opportunity to register for various programs and activities through the Redmond Area Parks and Recreation District directly at the park.

City officials noted that the spray park will close during thunderstorms or if lightning is forecasted, ensuring safety for all guests. Extended periods of cold or rainy weather will also prompt temporary closures.

Redmond is not the only community to open splash pads this week. The Alpenglow Spray Ground at Alpenglow Park in Southeast Bend also opened on Memorial Day. The spray ground in Bend will remain open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., providing extended hours for families to enjoy.

Both facilities mark the beginning of summer outdoor fun in Central Oregon, encouraging residents and visitors alike to take advantage of these family-friendly amenities.
