Bend, OR – The Bend Police Department will host a medication takeback event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.

Residents can drive through the Bend Police parking lot at 555 NE 15th Street to safely drop off unwanted or expired medications.

At the department’s last takeback event in April, 60 vehicles participated, resulting in the collection of 99.5 pounds of prescriptions and 13 pounds of sharps.

The department encourages community members to check their medicine cabinets and prepare items for safe disposal, helping to prevent misuse and protect the environment.
