Bend, OR – Members of Bend Firefighters Local 227 participated in the Firefighter Stair Climb in Seattle, completing 69 floors, 1,356 steps, and 788 feet of vertical elevation while wearing full firefighting gear and breathing apparatus.

The team raised nearly $10,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, supporting blood cancer research, patient services, and healthcare advocacy efforts.

Officials praised the effort, noting the physical demands of the climb and the group’s fundraising success.

The event brings together firefighters from across the region to support a shared charitable cause.
