Three Seriously Injured in Off-Road Motorcycle Collision in Prineville

PRINEVILLE, OR — Three people were seriously injured late Friday night in a collision between two off-road motorcycles at a southeast Prineville intersection, authorities reported Monday.

At approximately 11:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the crash scene at the intersection of SE Fifth and Fairview streets. Upon arrival, police determined that two off-road motorcycles had collided. Neither vehicle was registered with the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles, according to Sgt. Jon Dragoon of the Prineville Police Department.

The three adult riders involved in the crash sustained significant injuries. Emergency medical personnel provided aid at the scene, and all three individuals were transported to St. Charles Prineville for treatment. One victim, suffering from critical injuries, was flown by air ambulance to St. Charles Bend.

“Alcohol is being investigated as a possible contributing factor in the crash,” Sgt. Dragoon said.

The incident is under investigation as authorities work to determine the exact cause of the collision. The Prineville Police Department urges anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

At this time, the identities of the riders involved have not been released, and their current conditions remain unknown.
